Make a genuine difference for students as a paraprofessional supporting multiple school communities in the Kansas City, MO area. This contract opportunity runs from now through the end of May, with positions available at both middle and elementary school levels. Flexibility is essential, as you may be needed across different campuses throughout the school year.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active substitute certification on DESE OR passing Parapro exam results with diploma on file
• Prior experience working in school settings or with behavioral support
• Ability and willingness to work with diverse student needs
• Reliable transportation to travel between schools if required
• Fingerprints required for employment (candidate covers $45 fee upfront)
• Flexibility to shift campuses as student needs evolve

What You’ll Do:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings
• Assist certified teachers/behavior specialists in implementing individualized education or behavior plans
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
• Monitor and encourage student participation in academic or social activities
• Help with classroom organization, supervision, and preparation of learning materials
• Collaborate with school teams and communicate observations and progress
