Holly/Huntersville areaSchedule: Fully onsite with potential for 1 remote dayEnvironment: Quiet, casual, laid-back, and professionalDress Code: Business casualPosition: Newly created role due to company growthReports to: Corporate ControllerBenefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Role OverviewHands-on Staff Accountant role supporting two companiesResponsible for a variety of core accounting functions, including:Accounts payableGeneral ledgerCash applicationBank reconciliationsSales & use taxMonth-end and year-end closePrepare and post journal entries and adjusting entries in accordance with US GAAPPerform balance sheet and bank reconciliationsAssist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and recurring entriesReview and record corporate credit card expensesResearch and resolve accounting discrepanciesAssist with audits and financial reviewsSupport tax consultants with tax filings and complianceHelp identify process improvements and automation opportunitiesProvide backup support for AP and AR/collections as needed
