Staff Accountant

This role will require being available for on-site work within the Isabella Bank footprint with a potential to work hybrid after the training period.

Reports To:

Accounting Manager

General Purpose:

Performs a wide variety of accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

Prepare reports for management and the Board of Directors

Reconcile general ledger and internal checking accounts

Prepare accounting entries

Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements

Maintain a detailed record of fixed assets

Write reports using report writing software

Perform data analysis

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets

Prepare and assist in the filing of regulatory reports

Provide flexibility with work schedule as needed

Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Previous work experience in an accounting position is preferred

Skills:

Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail

Ability to analyze large amounts of information

Strong problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Task oriented

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work well in a group and independently

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
