Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality and safety in sterilization and processing, with experience in various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Maintain and manage the inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Pick cases accurately based on surgical schedules and requirements.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide timely and quality service.
• Participate in educational and training programs as part of a teaching department.

Schedule and Orientation

• Shift: 5x8 hours, 14:00 - 22:30
• Orientation: 3 days of training on day shift followed by transition to contracted shift.
• Weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certification required from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA.
• Ability to float between like units as needed.
• Strong supply knowledge and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Unit Overview

• Average surgical case volume: 65
• Average daily tray volume: 1200
• Specializations include Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and pediatrics in addition to standard service lines.
• Focus on high-quality standards and teamwork within the Sterile Processing Department.
