Job Title: Eligibility Service Coordinator Employment Type: Full‑Time, non‑exempt Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour* Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Schedule flexibility required to meet business needs) Primary Work Location: Hackensack University Hospital – 100 First Street, Suite 300, Hackensack, NJ07601 Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments for financial assistance. Check‑in patients upon arrival and ensure all required documentation is available for processing. Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, and provide guidance on next steps. Assist patients by providing requested documents and materials. Meet productivity and quality expectations. Utilize multiple systems and databases to gather, track, and report patient information. Communicate updates to Eligibility Specialists on scheduling and patient workflow. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Complete special projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in English and Spanish. 6+ months of experience in a customer service role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically. Ability to handle a heavy call volume. Work collaboratively in a team environment.
