Job Summary:
An Operating Room Open Heart Nurse position is available in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves practicing independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex cardiac care, and managing patient care plans. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
• Schedule: 8 hours per shift, 7AM - 7PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred), and current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications via the American Heart Association (AHA). RN license in the state of employment or a compact license is required.
• Responsibilities: Delivering nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; administering medications and treatments; documenting patient care; and providing education to patients and families.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABGs), heart valves, and cardiac surgeries. The role includes call duty during the week and on weekends.
• Shift hours: 8 hours per day.
