Job Summary:
A Critical Care Nurse (RN) is sought for a position in an intensive care unit located in Alexandria, Louisiana. The role involves providing specialized nursing care within a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and ideally have at least one year of relevant experience or be a recent graduate. The position requires working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week minimum
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Licenses: RN License in the state of Louisiana or a compact license
• Experience: Up to 1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred; new graduates accepted
• Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, document patient information, assess learning needs, and educate patients and families.
• Patient Population: Patients with conditions such as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute respiratory failure, myocardial infarctions, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABGs), ventilator-dependent patients, and others in a mixed ICU setting.
• Additional information: No floating required, every other weekend work, no on-call duties, nurse to patient ratios of 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for IMCU. Multiple positions available. Candidates should meet all specified qualifications before submitting.
