Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage all aspects of daily operations and provide leadership and coaching to enhance safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements and customer service. Assist the General Manager/Station Manager with station audits, supply information needed for airline reports, and handle airline and FAA questions/concerns as required. Develop and expand working relationships and communications with Airport Authority and the customer base. Communicate regularly on airline manual updates to inform employees and coordinate with the General Manager on investigations of security issues, accident reviews, and the recommendation process for safety measures. Monitor maintenance of all material handling equipment and provide safety training to all base employees. Required Skills and Experience BA/BS in a related field of study (required). Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Successful completion of required background and clearance requirements. Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in large ramp operations and demonstrated ability to manage budgets. Certifications: AOSSP/MSP, FAA/TSA, Dangerous Goods, Air carrier Hazmat, SIDA, and Equipment Certification. A broad range of airline operational experience, including but not limited to customer service, operations, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements, airport management and safety/regulatory requirements. Knowledge of regulatory and airline policies, warehouse procedures, operating station equipment, and aircraft handling procedures. Excellent time‑management skills. Basic understanding of accounting management principles. Knowledge of converting kilos and pounds, tariff book usage and rate application. Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Valid driver’s license is required. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances required by local and federal regulatory authorities. Work Environment Office environment – may involve extended periods of sitting. Continuous use of computer, keyboard and mouse. Warehouse environment – physically strenuous, prolonged standing, exposure to noise, odors, varying temperatures, heavy moving equipment. Outdoor environment – prolonged standing, exposure to weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, noise, heavy equipment and vehicles. Physical Demands Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear efficiently. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Lift up to 25 pounds at times. May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment and weather.
