About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong IV skills - Comfort with floating to other units - Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips - Familiarity with critical care protocols Description: The role involves providing direct care to patients in a critical care environment. You will be responsible for managing complex patient cases, including those with sepsis, DKA, COPD, and cardiac conditions. You must be comfortable with ventilators and the ABCDE bundle of care. You will float to medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed and take a full patient load when required. This position includes a weekend commitment of 2 weekends every 4 weeks and holidays as needed. The charge nurse will serve as a resource for the team and will not take patient assignments. The unit is staffed with an internal medicine team available 24/7 to support patient care. Remote and immediate support services, such as pharmacy and respiratory therapy, are also available 24/7. Emphasis is placed on collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking and clinical skills to thrive in this challenging environment. You will engage in a high-volume patient workflow and contribute to a supportive team atmosphere. This opportunity requires dedication, effective communication, and adaptability to changing needs.
