Director of OperationsThis power generation company is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee the safe, reliable, and profitable operation of multiple power generation facilities. The role oversees operations, maintenance, engineering, and staff management while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual requirements, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations.Full time. Role involves oversight across multiple facilities and may require travel between sites.$175,000 to $225,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.The Director of Operations will drive continuous improvement in plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability, applying industry best practices across multiple power generation facilities. This includes leading, developing, and managing plant staff to ensure alignment with facility, company, and industry standards, and overseeing daily operations to meet or exceed production and performance targets.The role carries responsibility for ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including permitting and reporting obligations, as well as managing hiring, performance management, compensation processes, and personnel practices in line with company policy and applicable law. The Director will develop, manage, and control facility budgets, forecasts, and expenditures aligned with long term maintenance plans, and will administer and ensure compliance with O&M Agreements, PPAs, LTSA agreements, and utility agreements.Additional responsibilities include planning and overseeing plant outages to optimize production, cost, and schedule performance, providing hands on operational and technical support as needed, and coordinating external resources to evaluate equipment issues. The Director will lead risk assessments, apply market and industry knowledge to inform operational decisions, and direct system upgrades, modifications, and operational improvements. This role also leads transitions related to asset acquisitions, divestitures, or changes in O&M providers, and serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and the local community to promote positive relationships and community engagement.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field10+ years of experience in power generation operations and/or maintenance, including significant experience with gas turbine facilitiesMBA or strong experience with the business and commercial aspects of independent power producersDemonstrated expertise in environmental compliance, budgeting and cost control, contract administration, and organizational developmentProven ability to develop innovative solutions to technical, operational, and business challengesStrong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences$175,000 to $225,000 per year, based on qualifications and experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) planPaid time offTo apply, please submit your resume for consideration.
