Working alongside Project Managers, architects, and trade partners, you'll help transform design concepts into accurate budgets, competitive bids, and successful construction projects.As a second-generation, family-owned builder, Nautilus Homes has earned national recognition for design excellence, including 2022 AIA Florida Builder of the Year and multiple industry awards for luxury custom homes.If you're an experienced estimator who enjoys solving complex construction challenges and working on projects where quality matters, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs Senior Estimator, you'll lead the estimating and procurement process from early design through project buyout.Your responsibilities include:Prepare conceptual budgets, design-phase estimates, and final control estimatesReview construction drawings and specifications for scope, constructability, and pricing opportunitiesDevelop baseline project schedules to support estimating and planningPrepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and suppliersAnalyze and level subcontractor proposals while preparing award recommendationsSupport Project Managers through procurement, buyout, and subcontract preparationPrice change orders and provide estimating support throughout constructionMaintain historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracyBuild strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the regionWhat We're Looking For5+ years of estimating, preconstruction, procurement, or project management experienceExperience in luxury custom homes or high-end residential construction preferredStrong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and estimating practicesAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documentsExperience managing subcontractor bidding and procurementHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, and construction estimating softwareWorking knowledge of Florida residential construction and permitting requirementsValid driver's license and ability to travel locally as neededWhat Success Looks LikeIn this role, you will:Deliver accurate, well-organized estimates that support successful project executionBuild strong relationships with trusted subcontractors and suppliersHelp Project Managers make informed decisions through reliable budgeting and procurementIdentify risks and opportunities early in the preconstruction processContribute to the exceptional quality and client experience that define Nautilus HomesWhy Join Nautilus Homes?Work on nationally recognized luxury custom homesJoin an award-winning, second-generation family-owned builderCompetitive compensation based on experienceInsurance allowanceSimple IRA with employer matchPaid vacation, holidays, and sick timeCompany phone and computerOngoing professional development and career growthCollaborative team committed to craftsmanship, innovation, and excellenceHow to ApplyIf you're an experienced residential estimator who enjoys the challenge of planning exceptional custom homes, we'd love to hear from you.Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your estimating experience.
