Residential Services DirectorSalary Range $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Education Level Graduate Degree Category ManagementPosition SummaryThis position will have direct responsibility for the overall function of all Residential services in the GulfCoast Region. This position is responsible for ensuring that the programs are operating in full compliance with all DCF licensure requirements, CARF accreditation, and all contracts for services that are provided within the residential programs including but not limited to Florida Department of Corrections. This position must identify and correct any operational deficiencies and work with contractors, licensing agents, and accreditation to address any identified deficiencies. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.Essential Job FunctionsInterview, hire, supervise, and manage all Residential Management staff in collaboration with the Vice President of Operations, Human Resources leadership, and other appropriate stakeholders.Provide comprehensive training, supervision, and professional development for all residential leadership staff.Ensure residential programs are implemented in accordance with evidence-based practices and approved curricula.Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and required services.Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to residential leadership staff.Assist the Vice President of Operations with program design, development, and the implementation of new or expanded services; provide recommendations as appropriate.Ensure all residential programs operate in an ethical, professional, and client-centered manner.Participate in the evaluation of grant and contract opportunities relevant to residential services.Ensure residential facilities are clean, organized, safe, and conducive to effective service delivery.Collaborate with the QA Coordinator, Clinical Services Director, and other staff to maintain compliance with CARF, DCF, FDOC, and other licensing, quality assurance (QA), and quality improvement (QI) requirements.Identify and promptly report unusual incidents, behaviors, or trends that may indicate systemic or client-related concerns to the Regional Vice President.Provide crisis intervention in accordance with WestCare policies and procedures.Prepare and submit regular management, operational, and client-related reports to the Vice President of Operations.Meet with residential staff at least monthly to provide guidance, oversight, and support.Report to the Vice President of Operations on a weekly basis regarding program operations and concerns.Conduct and submit a monthly facility inspection report to the Vice President of Operations.Ensure all required reports to DCF, DOC, funding sources, and external stakeholders—including incident reports—are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Respond to emergencies and provide direction and leadership during incidents requiring immediate intervention.Ensure all WestCare policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed and enforced.Actively embrace and promote the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical philosophy, and goals of WestCare Foundation.Represent WestCare professionally with internal and external stakeholders.Some travel is required.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:Strong oral and written communication skills for collaborating with staff, leadership, clients, and external agencies.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to manage challenging staff or client situations.Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, and developing clinical staff.Ability to provide clinical supervision to staff pursuing licensure or professional credentials.Skill in evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans.Experience in staff scheduling and resource allocation to ensure adequate clinical coverage.Proficient with MS Suite of computer programsDuring your tenure with WestCare, there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.Education and/or Experience:Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, childhood education, education counseling, and/or a similar course of study required.Minimum 5 years' experience working in residential treatment, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience required.Minimum 3 years' experience with Adult SUD treatment required.Experience with E-Health Record systems required.Experience working with the Department of Corrections preferred.Knowledge and experience with Therapeutic Community model preferred.Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required. Must be able to be insured under WestCare's policy.Certification and/or Licensure:Current Florida license as LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT required.MCAP required.Working Conditions:Tasks may be performed primarily in an office.Fast-paced environment.A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will be required from time to time. Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Regular attendance is required.
