Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a prestigious global law firm in its San Diego, California office.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of legal experience in labor and employment law, with experience in a combination of employment or complex litigation defense, including class and representative actions and single-plaintiff matters, traditional labor law, and/or employment counseling.

Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials, strong legal writing and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across offices in a growing, team-oriented practice. Order of the Coif membership, law review experience, or judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of relevant legal experience.

• Experience in employment or complex litigation defense, class and representative actions, single-plaintiff matters, traditional labor law, and/or employment counseling.

• Excellent academic credentials.

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across offices and work in a team-oriented environment.

• Order of the Coif, law review, or judicial clerkship experience preferred.

Salary Range: $310,000–$495,000, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
