Responsibilities include performing laboratory tests and procedures. Candidates must have experience with various laboratory skills. Experience with 24 hour urine, accessioning, and immunoassay is required. Knowledge of blood specimen storage and hormone testing is essential. Candidates should be familiar with quality assurance and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Experience with analyzer and automated instrument use is necessary. Candidates must be able to report test results accurately. Candidates will need to perform specimen preparation and analysis. Knowledge of charting systems and ability to float within the hospital as needed is expected. Proper labeling of specimens is crucial.
