About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required Must-Have: Epic experience required IV start experience required Previous travel experience preferred Must be willing to float to other units as needed Description: The position requires a registered nurse with a strong background in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. Two years of Labor and Delivery experience is mandatory for applicants. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required. The nurse must have experience with IV starts and proficiency in using Epic. The unit experiences approximately 450 deliveries per month. Candidates will be responsible for the administration of blood and blood products, monitoring fetal heart rates, and managing postpartum care. Skills in assisting with cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhage management are essential. Nurses will provide care to neonates, adolescents, and adults. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be necessary for optimal patient care. The role may involve exposure to high-risk antepartum patients. All candidates should complete the fingerprinting process as soon as they sign the contract. This position requires two professional references. One reference must be from a manager or someone in a formal leadership capacity. No coworker references will be accepted.
