Job Title: Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in cloud security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to enhance our organization's cybersecurity posture in cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, frameworks, and best practices tailored to cloud technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the cybersecurity SME, providing expertise on security best practices for cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Assess and identify security risks associated with cloud deployments, recommending appropriate mitigations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security into the cloud architecture and development lifecycle.

• Conduct security assessments, audits, and penetration testing of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

• Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud environments, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend enhancements to security measures.

• Provide training and awareness programs for staff on cloud security practices and policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on cloud security.

• Deep expertise in defining Security policies and guardrails

• Deep expertise in defining Security tools like Prisma cloud

• Deep Industry experience with instrumenting and comparing security tools

• Previous enterprise level security assessment expertise

• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks (e.g., CSA, NIST) and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

• Experience with cloud security tools and technologies, such as IAM, encryption, and security monitoring solutions.

• Familiarity with network security, application security, and incident response methodologies.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are preferred.

• Technical Skills: Expertise in cloud security architecture, risk management, and compliance.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
