Position Summary:
The Assistant Clinic Director Medical works directly under the Clinic Director and Owner to support safe
clinical care, day-to-day clinic operations, staff accountability, and an exceptional client experience. This
role is for a clinical leader who genuinely cares about people, takes time to understand each client, and
wants to help clients improve their health, wellness, and quality of life.
The Assistant Clinic Director helps create an environment where clients feel known, heard,
supported, and confident in their care. By building trust, providing thoughtful education, and following
through consistently, this role helps clients remain engaged in their wellness journey and develop a lasting
relationship with IV Nutrition. Core Accountabilities

- Deliver safe, compliant, high-quality clinical care within the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Create a caring, relationship-based client experience that helps people feel supported in reaching their wellness goals.
- Support active-client management, retention, rebooking, and other clinic performance outcomes.
- Coach and hold team members accountable to IV Nutrition clinical, client-care, and cultural standards.
- Support reliable day-to-day clinic operations, documentation, communication, and issue resolutions.
Clinical Care and Safety
- Administer and monitor client treatments and well-being, including starting IVs, running fluids, and supporting clients through services from beginning to end.
- Assess clients within their scope of practice; recognize changes in condition, treatment reactions, contraindications, or safety concerns; and respond or escalate according to policy and medical direction.
- Document client interactions, assessments, therapy services, education, and responses or reactions to treatment accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
- Follow IV Nutrition protocols, medication and infusion protocols, infection-prevention practices, emergency procedures, professional standards, applicable regulations, and accreditation requirements.
- Complete and maintain required education and competency validation for nutrition, infusion therapies, clinical protocols, and assigned services.
- Client Relationships and Wellness Support
- Bring genuine care, compassion, and personal attention to every client interaction.
- Take time to listen and understand each client’s needs, concerns, goals, and reasons for seeking care.
- Help clients understand how IV Nutrition services may support their individual health and wellness goals while respecting client choice and clinical scope.
- Build trusting relationships through clear communication, thoughtful questions, and consistent follow-through.
- Provide clear, understandable education so clients can make informed decisions about appropriate services, wellness plans, and ongoing care.
- Make sure clients know what comes next in their wellness journey and feel supported between visits through appropriate follow-up and continued connection.
- Review schedules and client needs proactively so the team is prepared to deliver a personalized, efficient experience.
- Support appointment confirmation, rebooking, cancellation and no-show recovery, return-to-active outreach, guest referrals, and other approved active-client initiatives.
- Monitor assigned client-experience and clinic KPIs; identify trends; communicate barriers; and help implement focused improvement plans with the Clinic Director and Owner.
- Use performance information to coach behaviors that strengthen consultation completion, client continuity, retention, and client lifespan rather than treating KPIs as isolated numbers.
- Protect client trust, confidentiality, and data while completing outreach, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
- Support the Clinic Director in managing day-to-day staff performance, accountability, scheduling needs, and clinic priorities within assigned authority.
- Lead by example through calm, ethical, positive, and client-centered behavior. Build trust and respect among team members and clients.
- Facilitate or support daily huddles, skills practice, observation, feedback, and follow-up training in clinical care and relationship-based client service.
- Coach team members to care for the whole client, communicate clearly, build meaningful relationships, and follow through on client needs.
- Document performance or conduct concerns as directed, report non-compliance or safety issues promptly, and assist the Clinic Director with corrective action and conflict resolution.
- Motivate the team, reinforce IV Nutrition culture, and help create an environment of learning, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support efficient clinic flow, appropriate staffing coverage, room readiness, supplies, and operational follow-through within assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate communication with the Clinic Director and Owner regarding client concerns, staffing issues, safety risks, service recovery, and operational needs.
- Protect client confidentiality and comply with IV Nutrition policies, professional standards, documentation requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the position’s purpose and qualifications.
- Current, active Colorado Registered Nurse license, NREMT-P, NREMT-IV in good standing.
- Minimum of one year of vascular-access or infusion experience.
- Minimum of one year of leadership or management experience.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records, Microsoft Office or equivalent, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical-practice functions.
- Ability to complete required IV Nutrition clinical, client-service, leadership, privacy, safety, and compliance training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to protect client confidentiality.
- Clinical judgment; vascular access and infusion care; compassion; client-centered communication; active listening; relationship building; client education; applied leadership; team training; accountability; attention to detail; documentation; problem-solving; conflict resolution; independent judgment; time management; organization; adaptability; resilience; perseverance; self-management; and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to speak effectively, communicate clearly, and hear ordinary conversation.
- Regular ability to type and use a computer mouse throughout the workday.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for extended periods.
- This position generally works eight- to ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work is required. Work is performed in a climate-controlled clinic environment with adequate lighting. Schedule requirements may vary based on clinic operations, staffing, training, and client needs.
- Ability to work with a variety of variables under limited standardization, establish credibility, make timely decisions, and escalate when appropriate.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and common fractions.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical documents, policies, protocols, performance information, and client records.
- Ability to communicate clearly, remain composed, prioritize competing needs, and exercise sound professional judgment.
