Registered Nurse - House Supervisor

Job Description

Job Summary:
The House Supervisor oversees patient care operations across multiple units within a hospital setting, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of services during assigned shifts. This leadership role includes managing clinical staff, responding to emergencies, and coordinating resources to maintain high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise nursing staff and clinical operations on assigned shifts to ensure optimal patient care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient safety, emergency responses, and procedural compliance.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies such as code events, staffing issues, and patient safety concerns.
• Facilitate effective communication among staff, patients, and external agencies.
• Oversee documentation accuracy, incident reporting, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• RN licensure in NY with a minimum of 1 year of relevant acute care experience.
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proven experience in inpatient acute care, MS/Tele, and trauma or code management.
• Demonstrated skill in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and emergency preparedness.
• Ability to manage staff and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as TJC, OSHA, and DPH guidelines.
