Randy's Market in Emeryville is looking for a reliable, energetic Cook / Food Prep Person to join our team. In this role, you will help prepare fresh food items, maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, and ensure our customers get great-tasting, quality food quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, chop vegetables, slice meats, and assemble sandwiches, salads, or hot food items.
• Cook and finish menu items according to standard recipes and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work station, including refrigerators, counters, and cooking equipment.
• Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and notify management of supply shortages.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines (ServSafe certification is a plus).
• Assist with other light market duties or customer service tasks as needed during slower periods.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, deli, market, or fast-casual food environment.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with safe food handling practices.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Flexible availability (morning or afternoon shifts available).
