ER Registered Nurse
The ER Registered Nurse delivers rapid, high-quality care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions in a busy Emergency Department near Gallup, New Mexico. The role emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-centered emergency care. Competitive compensation up to $125,000 per year plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and emergency protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- New graduate nurses welcome
Preferred Skills:
- TNCC certification preferred
