Production Associate

General Production Worker

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality garage doors on an assembly line. You will be responsible for completing production orders accurately and safely, all while cross-training in various entry-level positions to enhance your product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Learn product specifications and work efficiently under pressure.
• Stand throughout the entire shift, with occasional walking of 5-15 feet, depending on assigned position.
• Frequently stoop, bend, walk, carry, and lift banded door panels, with a maximum individual lifting limit of forty-five pounds.
• Collaborate with team members to lift or carry panels exceeding forty-five pounds safely.
• Push and pull carts, often requiring a force of 50lbs, with appropriate training for safety.
• Perform reporting and clerical duties on a computer and/or tablet.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and labor management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use hand tools effectively.
• Experience in inventory management and data entry.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Mechanical competence and adherence to safety practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Forklift license and certification required within 45 days of hire.

Work Environment

You will work on an assembly line in a manufacturing setting where standing for extended periods is required. The role involves frequent physical activities such as stooping, bending, and lifting. Safety is our priority, and all necessary training will be provided. Dress comfortably for a hands-on, dynamic environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
