Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,100 a week in all, a taxable rate of $23.13 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Neurology Floor. This position provides nursing care to patients through assessment, treatment, medication administration, documentation, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. The role is scheduled for day shifts and supports patient safety, clinical quality, and patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.
• Required Qualifications: Current Wisconsin nursing license; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; education verification.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications and treatments, documenting according to standards of care, developing and implementing individualized patient care plans, providing patient and family instruction, participating in performance improvement activities, supporting patients’ longitudinal plans of care, applying critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience, and escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Travel nurses may be required to float to other units.
