In this role you will be working as a Staff Accountant for a client in the material handling systems industry. This role is responsible for doing staff accounting and working with employees on benefits/handbook understanding and requirements.


This is a temp to possible perm role that must be performed on-site.


Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
• Microsoft Office Experience
• Business Central is a Plus
• Billing, collections, cash applications
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Aid in the preparation of State Tax reports
• Prepare and enter journal entries
• Run month-end financial reports
• Invoice for recoverable expenses, inter-company contracts, and billable freight charges
• Submit W-9s as requested
• Process 1099s at year end
• Assist in the hiring process
• Ensure that the company is compliant with government regulations by using reliable resources such as SHRM, TWC Conference, etc.
• Employee handbook and ability to explain benefits to employees
• Represent the company regarding any unemployment claims or hearings
• Process payroll semi-monthly for all employees
• Generate and distribute W2 forms.
• Submit W3 info to IRS electronically
• Prepare quarterly returns such as 941, 940, and TWC as required
