Staff Accountant The Staff Accountant will support the Corporate Accounting organization through preparation of accounting activities related to the monthly close process, account reconciliations, internal reporting, and operational accounting support within a rapidly growing public company environment. This role will partner closely with Accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to help ensure accurate financial reporting, strong operational execution, and continued process improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced Accounting organization. What You’ll Do Support the period close process through preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other accounting deliverables across assigned accounting areas. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation in accordance with internal deadlines, policies, and control requirements. Assist with analysis of financial results, including variance analysis and investigation of unusual activity or fluctuations. Partner with Accounting leadership and cross-functional business teams to support accurate accounting treatment and timely resolution of operational accounting matters. Support internal financial reporting activities and assist with preparation of schedules and analyses used by Accounting and Finance leadership. Support internal and external audit requests through preparation of reconciliations, support schedules, and accounting documentation. Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and support SOX compliance efforts across assigned accounting areas. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency within assigned responsibilities. Support special projects, process enhancement initiatives, and Finance Transformation activities as needed. Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement mindset while operating effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA/CPA track preferred 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience with public accounting and/or public company experience preferred Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting concepts Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong Excel and systems skills with ability to learn new processes and technologies quickly Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build collaborative working relationships across teams and functions Demonstrated willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility within the Accounting organization Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset Physical Requirements Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner What we offer Competitive salary, plus bonus and long-term incentives* Early Wage Access!
