Therapy - RRT Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: NICU/PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years recent respiratory therapist experience License: State license required or willing to apply within 72 hours of acceptance of offer. Certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), RRT via NBRC, CRT via NBRC Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapist experience Experience with NICU and/or PICU patient populations Description:The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications.Job duties include respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, arterial punctures, blood gas analysis, and management of ventilator and NIV therapy.Responsibilities also encompass medication delivery, airway clearance, assisting with intubations, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, and emergency response team participation.ICU rounds and patient intrahospital transport are also part of the role, along with high-risk deliveries.Candidates must have level 4 NICU experience, which includes high-frequency ventilation techniques and experience with high-risk deliveries.Ability to manage ventilators for micro preemies in a level 4 NICU setting is essential.Familiarity with various equipment including Epic documentation, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, among others, is required.Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to assist coworkers and request help when needed is critical.Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, are part of the schedule.Opportunity exists for picking up extra shifts and floating to other units if interested.All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
