Adjunct Faculty, Department of History, African and African-American History

Overview The Department of History seeks to create a pool of adjunct faculty qualified to teach courses in African-American History and US History. Students and faculty expect innovative instruction and contextualized learning. We prefer candidates who have a secondary field in the History of Africa or the African Diaspora. Qualifications M.A. or Ph.D. in history, with the field of expertise appropriate to the course; college-level teaching experience preferred. Procedure Please include a letter of interest, CV, and graduate transcript in your online application. Eligibility Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position. Compensation In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught. The maximum teaching load is 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis. #J-18808-Ljbffr
