As an In-Market D2D Sales Representative, you'll manage the entire sales process—from introducing homeowners to the benefits of solar energy to guiding them through the consultation process and helping them transition to clean, affordable energy solutions.

About the Role

This is a full-cycle outside sales position where you'll work directly with homeowners in assigned neighborhoods. You'll educate prospective customers about solar energy, identify qualified homeowners, schedule consultations, and guide customers through the sales process from the initial conversation to project completion.

Whether you're an experienced outside sales professional or looking to build a career in field sales, you'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and support from an experienced leadership team.

What You'll Do

Prospecting & Lead Generation

• Meet with homeowners in assigned neighborhoods.

• Introduce the benefits of residential solar energy.

• Build trust through professional, face-to-face conversations.

• Generate qualified sales opportunities through direct outreach and referrals.

• Maintain consistent activity within assigned territories.

Full Cycle Sales

• Conduct consultative conversations to understand each homeowner's energy goals.

• Explain available solar solutions and financing options.

• Guide customers through the sales process from initial contact through signed agreement.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.

• Maintain regular follow-up throughout the customer journey.

Customer Relationship Management

• Deliver outstanding customer service before, during, and after the sale.

• Build lasting relationships that generate referrals and repeat opportunities.

• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity.

• Represent Ethical Energy Solar with professionalism and integrity.

Professional Development

• Participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training.

• Attend team meetings and field coaching sessions.

• Continue developing communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Stay informed about company products, industry updates, and market trends.

Qualifications

Required

• At least 18 years of age

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional attitude and positive work ethic

• Comfortable working outdoors and meeting homeowners in person

• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Door-to-door, outside sales, retail sales, or customer service experience

• Experience managing the full sales process

• Interest in renewable energy or residential home improvement

• Goal-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
