Position Overview

\n

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient team at Rumford Hospital and Bridgton Hospital.

\n

This position will be a mix of admitting and rounding. 

\n

Preferred Experience

\n

\n
• Clinical rotations in internal medicine, hospital medicine, or acute care
\n
• Exposure to admissions workflow and inpatient care coordination
\n

\n

Schedule & Work Environment

• Daytime schedule only no overnight responsibilities

\n
• Conduct comprehensive history and physicals for new admissions
\n
• Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans
\n
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians and hospitalists
\n
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
\n
• Document all encounters accurately in the EMR
\n
• Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and ancillary services
\n
• Assist with care transitions and discharge planning as appropriate
\n

\n \n \n Qualifications\n

\n

\n

\n
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
\n
• Previous experience as an NP or PA
\n
• Active or eligible for Maine licensure
\n
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
\n
