About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant General Counsel to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal support in a variety of areas, including commercial matters, innovation, and dispute resolution. This role requires a highly organized, motivated, and energetic attorney with a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school, a minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, and a strong preference for those with a background in product warranty and/or product liability. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in managing intellectual property, general litigation, real estate matters, and will play a critical role in partnering with both internal and external business stakeholders. Key responsibilities for the Assistant General Counsel include managing legal support for commercial matters such as contracts, marketing, and the company's dealer channel, as well as overseeing intellectual property, general litigation, and real estate matters. The role also involves performing special projects, supporting the continuous improvement of legal department processes, and offering counsel on a variety of legal issues. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, a desire to learn, and the ability to contribute to strategic planning and goal setting for the legal function. Strong leadership skills, the ability to build trust and influence at all levels, and experience in drafting and negotiating contracts are highly valued for this position.
