Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: Minimum years of experience with direct patient care preferred License: RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills along with customer service skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner. Possess excellent time management skills. Practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality and safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core values. All RN Clinical Nurses Critical Care are licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the relevant nursing association. As a member of the patient services team, the individual upholds the voice of the patient and supports service excellence goals. Core responsibilities include performing the nursing process in clinical care using evidence-based practice. They provide relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. They partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for setting and purpose. They practice using current clinical standards. Responsibilities also include coordinating safe quality patient care and ensuring diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods. They demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. Professional development includes completing all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. They serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure the current and future qualified workforce. The RN Clinical Nurse promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing. They uphold all organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies. The RN participates in data collection and poses relevant clinical questions to advanced evidence-based practice. They proactively plan for the care of patients across the care continuum. They participate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. They support the efficient and effective use of resources. Performs other duties as assigned.
