• The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

• Responsible for handling all referrals and precertifications with insurance companies in order to facilitate accurate scheduling of appointments with referrals sources in the community.
• Ability to alphabetize,attention to details, interact effectively with different types of people able to handle stressful situations.
• Mails, phones and faxes information as needed in a timely manner to verify that all necessary information is available to referral sources the day of the patient's appointment.

Job Requirements:

• One year prior medical office or hospital experience.
• Data entry experience desirable. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs i.e. WORD, Excel, Outlook
• Broad knowledge of general office equipment, including 10 key.
