Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' work experience with mechanical systems (Mechanical Drives, Gearing, Industrial Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps/Piping, etc.)Minimum of 5 years’ experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principlesMinimum of 5 years’ experience in product and process failure analysisExperience in justifying, managing and installation of capital projectsExperience designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsExperience designing, fabricating, maintaining, and installing mechanical equipmentWorking knowledge of lubrication and pumping systemsStrong mechanical engineering skillsUnderstanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.Strong maintenance backgroundStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient problem solving and creative thinking skillsAbility to work with cross-functional teams#LI-JM1The incumbent will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations across the Ingot/Can Reclamation facility. This includes troubleshooting equipment and process problems to root cause, providing engineered solutions to these problems, managing large equipment rebuilds, and development, justification, management, and implementation of capital projects. The successful applicant will be expected to develop into the technical equipment expert for an area of the department and provide technical leadership for the equipment. This includes supporting restoration of flow during breakdowns, development of repair and rebuild procedures, development of proposals for equipment upgrades.
