About the Role:

Woofie's of Barrington-Northwest is growing, and we're looking for a talented, compassionate groomer to join our mobile team — part-time, and built around a calmer way of working. No shop floor chaos, no back-to-back scheduling — just you, a fully-equipped van, and pets who get your full attention, one at a time.

What you'll do:

Drive our state-of-the-art mobile grooming van directly to clients' homes across Barrington and the Northwest suburbs

Provide full-service grooming — baths, haircuts, brush outs, nail trims, ear cleaning, and all the fun glow up's

Handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments with patience and skill

Build genuine relationships with pets and their people — many of whom will request you by name

Keep the van clean, organized, and stocked, because a tidy groomer is a happy groomer

Maintain accurate service notes and communicate professionally with clients and our office team

Ensure pets are handled safely and compassionately at all times

What you bring:

Previous professional grooming experience

A calm, confident hand with nervous or wiggly clients

A valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical stamina — this job involves lifting, bending, and the occasional wet-dog wrestling match

A genuine love of animals that shows in your work, not just your Instagram bio

Reliability and a strong sense of ownership over your schedule and the van
