Construction Inspector- Bridge/Highways

Job Overview CEI is seeking a senior inspector for structures and bridges in Phoenix West Valley. This is a full‑time position on DOT-based projects. Job Requirements Experienced in heavy civil highway projects specifically for roads and bridges. Senior inspection responsibilities regarding all bridge structures (FHWA‑NBI). AZ experience within AZDOT/MCDOT. Perform contract‑item inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications on all phases of highway and bridge construction projects. Inspect work standards: production, productivity, and quality. Resolve operational problems and identify work process improvements. Approve incoming materials by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting materials as required. Approve in‑process production by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production personnel. Approve finished products by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re‑work, and reporting waste; inputting data into quality database. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Additional Information This is a full‑time position primarily in the field on a highway/bridge QA construction site.
