About the Role

Seeking a Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery to join a high-performing obstetrics team in Santa Rosa, California.

This role provides direct patient care within an acute care hospital setting, supporting mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, clinically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment.

This is a full-time opportunity working 12-hour shifts across day and night schedules.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery nursing care in an acute care hospital setting
Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery
Collaborate with physicians, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary caregivers
Support patient education, safety, and emotional care during childbirth
Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
Respond effectively in emergency and high-acuity situations
Deliver patient-focused care while supporting positive birth experiences

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active California Registered Nurse license
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
NRP certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
