Wellness Health Coach/Registered Dietitian (RD)

AvMed, a division of Sentara Health Plans in the Florida market, is hiring a Wellness Health Coach/Registered Dietitian (RD) for Miami-Dade County!

Status: Full-Time permanent position (24 hours)

Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, 3x a week, preferably Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Flexibility is expected as needed to support occasional large-scale events that may occur on evenings or weekends.

Location: This is an on-site role stationed in Downtown Miami at Stephen P Clark Government Center (Address: 111 NW 1st St, Miami, FL 33128) 3x a week unless assigned at an event at another location. The role supports various locations throughout Miami-Dade County and requires reliable transportation, as 75-80% of local travel is required, which is reimbursed for mileage.

Job Profile Summary

Individual must be a licensed RD and experience in motivational interviewing and health coaching for behavior change.

Wellness program, and attends assigned biometrics to promote the program and wellness coaching.

This role provides one-on-one coaching for nutrition, delivers educational presentations, and workshops, supports the overall of Miami-Dade County employees.

Education

• Master Level Degree Health Education, Nursing or Related Field REQUIRED

Experience

• Management- Previous Experience REQUIRED
• Business Acumen- Previous Experience REQUIRED
• Health Education Programs- 5 years REQUIRED
• Bilingual English/Creole and/or English/Spanish preferred

Certification

• Registered Dietitian (RD) REQUIRED
