Learn more about CCC at .The RoleCCC is looking for a Senior Manager of the CCC data platform that will lead a team of diversely skilled database engineers who architect, build, and maintain various data technologies for the company. This position is based in Chicago on a hybrid model.This role is key to mission critical business applications that require 24x7 on-call team rotation, incident management, change management and identifying key process methods for efficient delivery of service.Key Responsibilities:Manage/lead a team of 3+ direct reports as well as a team offshore resourcesWork closely with vendors to maintain and manage solid working relationshipsAct as senior technical resource, prioritize tasks, resolve complex problems, and participate in strategy discussionsResource management and training of the teamCreate and maintain appropriate documentation for data stores, production support and end-users.Collaborate with Operations and Product Development teams as well as Data Architects to assure adherence to operational objectives.Approximately 40% team leadership, 30% hands on, 30% operations supportCollaborative with the SRE and DevOps teams to automate deployment and monitoring of the CCC data ecosystemLeverage AI and grow the data teams usage of it to automate daily tasksMake recommendations on how to reduce hosting complexity/improve operational agility and efficiencyRequirements:Bachelor’s degree or combination of work experience and technical certifications12+ years of information systems experience in a large enterprise systems environment supporting mission-critical systems and applications5+ years in a technical team lead role of 5 resources or more - Management skill set and long term operational experienceExcellent problem-solving skills across multiple disciplinesDemonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quicklyExperience with complex system integration projectsExperience in managing database upgrades and patch managementPrevious experience with managing SOC controlsSolid experience with system monitoring and management softwarePrevious experience with disaster recovery and recovering complex environmentsExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsRequired Technical Qualifications8 + years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft SQL server5+ years’ experience using cloud-based database technologies such as AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, Azure PaaS and Hyperscale,5+ years' experience in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloudExperience managing large OLTP databases at scaleHas maintained and monitored hundreds of SQL Server installationsInterview Policy & Privacy Notice:A video interview is required for this position.
