Job Description Security Officer Full Time Patrol Officer in Hempstead, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity every day. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.74 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Thur 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Fri 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a transportation location. Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, public areas, and assigned posts for suspicious behavior, unattended items, and policy violations, and document security-related incidents in a timely manner. Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and directional support during peak periods, special events, and/or service interruptions. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
