We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Investment Operations Analyst to join the Investment Operations vertical of our Finance and Operations team. Reporting to the Investment Operations Manager, this role sits at the intersection of the Investment, Finance, and Operations functions, supporting investment reporting, investment execution, fund onboarding, and the data and systems that connect them. The Analyst will be a key contributor to the integrity, timeliness, and analytical depth of the family office’s investment reporting across a multi-asset class portfolio that includes hedge funds, private investments, and other alternatives. This is a hands-on role in a small, lean, and entrepreneurial team where every member is an active contributor.

The successful candidate will bring a strong sense of execution, helping to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of investment operations and reporting day to day. Disciplined data reconciliation and a high bar for data quality are central to the work. The ideal candidate is tech- and AI-savvy, intellectually curious, and motivated to execute their work to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

\n

\n

1. Investment Reporting & Analytics

\n

\n
• Perform rigorous reconciliation of portfolio data against custodians, fund administrators, and manager statements; investigate and resolve breaks, maintaining high standards of data integrity and quality.
\n
• Support the day-to-day production of investment reporting and maintenance of the portfolio reporting system, helping ensure data accuracy and the timely reflection of investment activity across entities and asset classes.
\n
• Assist the Investment Operations Manager with monthly/quarterly reports and ad hoc analyses, and partner with Finance to keep investment reporting consistent with accounting records (ABOR).
\n

2. Investment Execution & Operations

\n

\n
• In partnership with Finance, and the Investment team, support investment execution across asset classes, including trade processing, capital calls and distributions, subscriptions and redemptions.
\n
• Maintain the investment pipeline and transaction calendar, ensuring deadlines, notice periods, and funding requirements are met with accuracy and urgency.
\n
• Track and process fund notices, amendments, and other manager communications, ensuring downstream systems and records are updated.
\n
• Support treasury and liquidity processes in partnership with Finance, including cash forecasting inputs related to investment activity.
\n

3. Fund Onboarding & Manager Operational Due Diligence

• Support the operational onboarding of new funds and managers, including system setup.
\n
• Participate in operational due diligence (ODD) of investment managers, reviewing operational infrastructure, service providers, valuation policies, and controls; document findings for the Investment team.
\n
• Maintain organized records of fund documents, side letters, and key terms, ensuring critical provisions are captured in reporting and workflows.
\n

4. Data, Systems & Technology

\n

\n
• Become a proficient and reliable user of the firm’s investment technology stack, with a drive to learn and apply it well in day-to-day execution.
\n
• Use business intelligence, data warehouse, and AI-enabled tools to produce accurate, efficient, and high-quality reporting and analytics in support of the team.
\n
• Follow established processes, controls, and procedures consistently, and escalate gaps, errors, or improvement ideas to the Investment Operations Manager.
\n
• Partner with Finance and external providers to ensure proper integration between investment data, accounting records, and reporting outputs.
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n

1. Experience & Background

\n

\n
• Approximately 4–6 years of experience, ideally in audit or assurance at a leading accounting firm serving alternative investment and private fund clients, or in investment operations, fund accounting, or fund administration at a family office, asset manager, hedge fund, or administrator.
\n
• Experience with alternative investments and private funds, such as hedge funds and private equity is required; exposure across multiple asset classes is ideal.
\n
• Working knowledge of fund structures, capital activity (capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions), fund financial statements, NAV, and capital account statements.
\n
• Experience operating in multi-entity environments alongside external administrators, custodians, auditors, and advisors.
\n
• Hands-on experience with a portfolio reporting system such as Addepar or similar is a plus; a strong aptitude and genuine willingness to learn such systems is essential.
\n
• CPA, CFA, CAIA, and/or CIPM certification (or progress toward) a plus.
\n
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data warehouse environments, and/or programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python) a plus.
