You will serve as a scrub and circulating nurse while providing direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary professional team as you contribute to cutting edge and innovative surgical procedures. Our mission involves you supporting research and education to staff and students.This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the RN/staff. Hospital locations include but are not limited to the following: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center UCLA West Valley Medical Center Qualifications We’re seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with: Current California RN license, requiredBSN or MSN degree, required 3 years of Operating Room RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Operating Room RN experience, required Travel or extensive OR RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required Able to circulate and scrub OR cases including ophthalmology, required ACLS from the American Heart Association, preferred PALS from the American Heart Association, preferredCNOR certification, preferred Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop/deliver appropriate interventions, involving patients, family and staff Exceptional communication, prioritization, organization and designating skills Thorough understanding of medical/surgical terminology Knowledge of EHR charting Ability to work efficiently and effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting‑edge patient care while also contributing to the positive and collaborative team environment at UCLA Health is a must Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire About The Hospital UCLA Health hospitals ranked #1 in both Los Angeles and California and rose to #3 nationally in an annual evaluation published today by U.S. News & World Report - the highest set of rankings UCLA has received in its history.
