Purpose Meticulously manage and oversee the handling of all incoming or active reservations for the hotel, ensuring timely and accurate confirmation to maintain a perception of absolute efficiency. Essential Functions Oversee accurate input of reservations into the system Input reservations within specified time periods Maximize potential room revenue by following selling guidelines Maintain a selective sell board Respond to calls as quickly as possible Keep reservation denials to a minimum Enter group booking tickets as received Perform forecasting Control group rooms Merchandise rooms Collaborate with all departments in the property Possess knowledge of hotel services and events Maintain an efficient and professional work environment with open communication Use guest history appropriately Provide ongoing training on HIS/IBM systems as needed Enable staff to upsell and describe all hotel accommodations Meet with meeting planners as necessary Audit convention resumes before group arrivals Tools and Equipment Tables and chairs for room set‑ups Computer, printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photocopying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine Working Environment Exterior of the hotel with exposure to weather conditions Interior of the hotel in normal office conditions Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
