Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Spring Lake that are seeking Lead Machinists. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup and operation of CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Train and mentor junior machinists on best practices and safety protocols.
• Develop and implement machining processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Conduct quality control inspections of finished parts to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product development and improvements.
• Manage tool inventory and maintenance schedules for all machining equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various machine tools, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and manual machines.
• Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong understanding of materials science, tooling, and machining processes for diverse metals and alloys.
• Proven ability to mentor junior machinists and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for program generation and optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for machinery
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to train and mentor junior machinists
