Real Estate Associate Attorney

Locations: New York The Role A leading international law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Real Estate practice. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with 3–5 years of experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions who is looking to work on complex, high-profile matters alongside experienced practitioners. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, and closing documentation. Support and, where appropriate, lead commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures. Assist with real estate finance matters, including senior, mezzanine, and construction loan transactions. Advise on commercial leasing matters for landlords and tenants. Conduct legal analysis relating to transaction structure, risk allocation, and commercial strategy. Manage due diligence reviews, including title, survey, zoning, environmental, and corporate documentation. Coordinate transaction processes and closings with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to practice and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction. 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a recognised law firm. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Experience reviewing title, survey, zoning, condominium, and other real estate diligence materials. Proven experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, development, leasing, and investment matters.
