Survey Manager

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Department Manager to lead and grow our Towson, Maryland survey operations. What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and oversee survey crews and office staff , fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment. Manage multiple survey projects from proposal through completion, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. Perform contract administration , budget management , resource allocation , and project scheduling . Prepare and review plats , legal descriptions , boundary surveys , topographic surveys , ALTA/NSPS surveys , construction staking , and other survey deliverables. Ensure all work complies with applicable surveying standards , Maryland regulations , and ethical practices . Coordinate effectively with clients , engineers , project managers , and regulatory agencies . Monitor project progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget . Provide technical guidance and professional judgment on complex land surveying assignments. Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for departmental growth. Champion a culture of safety , quality control , accountability , and continuous improvement.
