Social Media Content Associate

Job Description

Al-Furqaan Foundation is seeking a dynamic, creative, and mission-driven Social Media Content Associate to join our team in Romeoville, IL. In this role, you will lead our digital presence by creating compelling content, managing active social media channels, engaging with our global and local community, and measuring performance. The ideal candidate has a strong creative mindset, excellent storytelling capabilities, and a deep dedication to supporting our organization’s mission while adhering to Islamic ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management & Strategy

Oversee and maintain day-to-day operations across all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and others.
Execute brand-consistent publishing schedules to increase online reach, brand awareness, and follower engagement.

2. Content Creation & Management

Conceptualize, produce, and edit high-quality visual and written content that resonates with our audience and highlights our mission.
Utilize graphic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) to produce compelling graphics, digital banners, and multimedia assets.
Combine visual storytelling with engaging captions to communicate campaigns, educational content, and community updates effectively.
Draft blogs and press releases following all best practices.

3. Community Engagement

Foster vibrant online communities that support the organization’s mission by encouraging active participation in discussions, events, and campaigns.
Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and inquiries across social media platforms.
Collaborate with other Islamic organizations, influencers, scholars, and community leaders to amplify our outreach and strategic message.

4. Analytics & Reporting

Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, reach, growth, and conversions.
Translate analytical insights into actionable content improvements and campaign strategies.

5. Compliance & Ethical Considerations

Ensure all digital content, messaging, and campaigns rigorously adhere to Islamic values, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
Respect user privacy, copyrights, and confidentiality across all digital communications and media assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in social media management, content creation, or a closely related marketing field.
Creative & Design Skills: Strong creative mindset with visual storytelling skills and an eye for design aesthetics.
Technical Proficiency: Basic to intermediate graphic design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar creative suites.
Platform Mastery: Deep understanding of major platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and emerging channels.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Media relationships is a plus.
On-Site Requirement: Must be able to work full-time in person at our headquarters in Romeoville, IL.
