Automation Service Engineer II
Freenome
Freenome seeks an Automation Service Engineer II to manage laboratory equipment lifecycle processes for fully automated cancer diagnostic systems. The role involves equipment installations, maintenance, qualifications, and regulatory compliance while supporting a rapidly scaling automation service team.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment installations, qualifications, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities
- Coordinate maintenance activities with internal and external customers
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance while ensuring instrument uptime and QMS compliance
- Respond to P0-P1 priority issues during on-call rotations
- Maintain accurate and GMP-compliant documentation throughout equipment lifecycle
Requirements
- Experience with laboratory equipment lifecycle management and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of equipment qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ) and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Understanding of GMP and Quality Management System requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automated laboratory systems
- On-call availability for critical equipment support
