Work Environment

This position is based in our modern, fully-equipped rehabilitation center, designed to facilitate optimal patient treatment and recovery. The center features state-of-the-art therapy tools and equipment, enabling therapists to utilize a wide array of techniques and modalities. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, our orthopedic physical therapist will engage in a collaborative atmosphere alongside other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to accurately assess their physical therapy needs, identifying specific deficits and functional limitations.
• Design and administer individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Utilize advanced techniques and evidence-based practices to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance strength.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care and adjust treatment plans as needed based on patient progress and feedback.
• Thoroughly document patients' progress, treatment efficacy, and any changes to the treatment strategy in compliance with professional and legal standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The orthopedic physical therapist in this role will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, older adults experiencing degenerative conditions, and postoperative patients. Our center caters to individuals seeking rehabilitation for conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, tendon injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will have the unique opportunity to work with high-performance clients as well as those needing compassionate care for debilitating chronic conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's degree in physical therapy is required, with a Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT/MPT) preferred.
• Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic relationships with patients and team members.
• Proven ability to work well in a collaborative environment, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
• Commitment to pursuing continual education and remaining abreast of clinical advancements in orthopedic physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting is required. Candidates with experience implementing innovative therapeutic techniques and proven success in patient recovery are strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
