Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney in Gretna, LA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the law, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a variety of cases while working closely with experienced attorneys. Duties Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conduct legal research and analysis. Attend court hearings, client meetings, and depositions as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies. Maintain organized case files and client communications. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law or related field. Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with contract law and litigation processes is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law or Tulane University Law School (or expected graduation within the year). Certifications Active bar membership (Louisiana Bar preferred). Skills Strong skills in providing legal advice and conducting thorough research. Demonstrated ability to engage in effective negotiation to represent and defend clients' interests. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Relevant experience or familiarity with state and federal laws applicable in Louisiana.
