CAREER SERVICES SPECIALIST

Transition Readiness Program MemberYou will serve as a member of the Transition Readiness Program (TRP) to assist military members as they transition to civilian life.You will research information on local and national career, education and/or recruitment processes and standards and produce supporting materials for clients.You will organize special events to include job and careers fairs, promote awareness of programs through targeted outreach efforts, and establish community partnerships in an effort to ensure widest utilization of programs.You will execute data collection, reporting processes and procedures and support program evaluation efforts.You will provide individualized instruction, advice, and guidance to assist clients with their completion of the Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Individual Transition Plan (ITP) in support of their post-separation goals.You will advise clients on the development of skills required by employers and provide information on the entrance requirements to colleges, universities, and vocational/technical institutions.You will assist clients in resume writing and interviewing techniques, facilitate workshops and trainings, and provide communication with clients to support their post-separation goals.
