Emergency Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed :

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End Date: Ongoing
• Schedule: 7a-7p, 7p-7a

Clinical Details :

• ED procedures including but not limited to intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube, CPR, suture repair, I&D, central line
• Support Staff: Nurses, on call specialists
• Average Patient Census: 55-60 daily, 2 patients per hour; occasional larger boluses of patients (8+ in an hour)
• Common Cases: Medical complaints (chest pain, abd pain, sob), basic trauma ( fall, mvc, sports injury)
  • Rarely severe or penetrating trauma

Requirements :

• Flexibility in Schedule:
  • Provider MUST be willing to work day AND night shifts
  • Provider MUST be willing to work weekdays AND weekends
• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
• Board Certified ABEM - Preferred
  • Will make exceptions for strong experienced providers
• Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered 'Local', and will not be eligible for this role
• Active TX license
